The current Coronavirus health emergency has put the entire country on hold. Schools closed, offices working remotely and life as we know it turned upside down to prevent unnecessary social contact, increase infection prevention and slow the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak.
So, here at Portman Recruitment, we thought we’d update you about how we’re dealing with the COVID-19 situation and our continuing commitment to placing talented candidates into the right social work job.
Social Work Employment Opportunities During a Public Health Crisis
The Portman Recruitment ethos, of going above and beyond for people looking for a social work job, puts us in a great place to continue our day-to-day business – albeit a little more remotely!
Our team is working remotely to help prevent anyone from getting infected with Coronavirus symptoms (that’s the last thing we want!) but this hasn’t stopped us working hard for you and all of our social workers. We’re regularly in touch with our social workers, who are on the front line doing such an incredible job at the minute, caring for the vulnerable and acting completely selflessly during this current Coronavirus health emergency. Like many people up and down the country, we have been standing out on our balconies, front doors or outside our windows clapping for our social workers and showing, in our small way, how grateful we are.
Thankfully, most of our work can be done remotely and away from others which we’re feeling very grateful for. It means we can practise safer recruitment while still providing the service that so many of our social workers love. So you can still expect a team of people working hard to place you and other professionals into social work roles. As a social work client for Portman Recruitment, you can still expect regular catch-ups about your role. Just because the novel Coronavirus is keeping us apart, it doesn’t mean you’re alone.
Regarding payment, social work employees need not worry as our efficient payroll system is still running smoothly as is our optional in-house PAYE scheme. We understand how anxious people are about incomes and payment during this Coronavirus health emergency so we just wanted to reassure you that everything is still up and running.
Looking for a New Social Work Job?
We still have a wide range of social work job opportunities and jobs for temporary social workers available. We work with a wide range of councils across the North West and the wider UK to place people into new social work jobs and now more than ever they are looking for people to fill roles during this global pandemic.
Our dedicated team at Portman Recruitment will be more than happy to have an initial discussion about the roles we have available and how we can help optimise your CV for the social work role that you’re after.
