Cheshire East is a unitary authority whose borough council was established in April 2009. It is the 3rd largest unitary authority in the north-west, and 15th largest countrywide. It is made up of the former boroughs of Congleton, Macclesfield, and Crewe and Nantwich. It also includes towns and smaller settlements such as Alsager, Alderley Edge, Bollington, Handforth, Wilmslow and Holmes Chapel. This level of experience is a good indicator that the candidate has seen and done it all in the industry.
